All things timber at the Fondazione La Biennale di Venezia…
Most impressive timber contribution:
Uruguay’s “In opera: future scenarios of a young forest law” by INST/MAPA + Carlos Casacuberta is just ‘in your face’.
Most nuanced timber contribution:
White Arkitekter’s interviews with, among others, Louise Karlberg’s elaboration on sustainable forestry.
Most poetic timber contribution:
Yoshizaka’s Japanese pavilion “continues to nurture the place after the architecture is formally completed.”
Also, a Belgian bio-based portrait by Alexandra Hoet – the Belgian Pavilion felt like home – the same BC materials red rammed earth floor.
See you next time!
